“Leffe isn't bad, and Duvel is pretty good as well. I have to agree with non00b though, that the Trappist ales are excellent. I'm most fond of Trappist Rochefort 10. Also, though it isn't Belgian, there is a Dutch Trappist beer Konings Hoeven that hides its alcohol incredibly well. You can easily drink the Trippel without much of a hint of the alcohol.

I think one problem is there is a schism between hardcore comic fans and casual ones.Myself for example, I never buy monthly issues, there is just too many backstory to keep up with and like you said, I hate paying 4 dollars for a 20 page issuse i will throw away.Now what I WILL pay for is I will pay a good 30-40 dollars for a nice hardbound graphic novel, preferably a store that fits inside itself and doesn't require me to know 40 years of character history much like Batman: The Killing Joke for example.
