Well then there's the problem: You tried to think. That's always a recipe for failure.
But what about the kids?

Hate too n00b it up here, but did anyone ever figure out what the "DK" stood for?.
In my league we determine draft order based on how each team did the previous season. But the comparison to D&D to is superficial at best. There are leagues that reward points for every little aspect of the game but most are 6 points for a TD, and 1 points for every 10/20 rushing and receiving yards, and 1 point for 25/50 passing yards. Fantasy football is just about predicting the upcoming season and starting players with the right matchups. Much more basic than than D&D.!

I know.. General Adama would be a lawful good character.?
"The costs of DVD/CD production and distribution are rather high, at least as far as a small content producer is concerned. Often high enough to prevent them from even making an effort to get their product to consumers unless they have outside investors willing to help with the startup costs and initial run."What you are hap-hazardly pointing to is perfect competition. Because of the steep cost to enter the market, small operations face a barrier to entry. Moving to the internet as a distribution model opens the market to anyone with the talent to offer a desirable product. The cost of entry is literally the expense maintaining a website and download service. If you give your product away to peer-to-peer networks, your marketing to your consumers by word-of-mouth which has shown to be the best of all marketing. |

"for some organisms, possibly including humans, continued evolution will not translate into ever-increasing fitness"Duh......Evolution works by creating mutations, the vast majority of them harmful.Occasionally a beneficial mutation creeps through and gives an organism an advantage over their peers, therefore they breed more.So in other words, the group who has the most children that live to have more children wins.Who decides what the conditions for fitness are anyway? Sheer survival is the condition, in that respect single-cell bacteria may be the peak of evolution. The more complex an organism is, the more easily mutation breaks it. There are many single celled bacteria who mutate and evolve at lighting-fast rates compared to mammals, some even break their own gene repairing processes when the conditions require it.

"You win some, you lose some"But every single time voters have voted about same sex marriage, they've voted against it. The reason there's same sex marriage in ANY state, it's because of the courts striking down a law against it.I think people need to go for the argument that segregation in the south was very, very popular, but that doesn't make it right. There are some things the voters don't have the right to do, like take away the civil liberties of other people.Let's have a ballot measure in Texas that every person who crosses the border illegally should be shot and killed on sight. And I'm sure that would pass easily. It's the will of the people, but that doesn't make it anywhere close to being right. The will of the people can be gleefully petty, racist, and ignorant.
