I still call myself a Weezer fan, and I think the first single from the new album is their best song in years. But that one is just *****. If it's satire it missed the mark, if its not it still missed the mark somehow.
Roe v. Wade upheld that a woman has the right to abort any time she chooses before the fetus becomes viable. It does not say conception. It says viable. It upheld this ruling because before the fetus is viable there is no child. There is only the woman. The definition of viable means able to survive outside the body. Modern medicine has improved enough to allow premature babies to survive earlier and earlier, but how far do pro-life people want to push this? Like it or not, eventually we will be able to create people in test tubes at which point masturbation and periods would become 'murder' since each one of those eggs and sperm could have been born and grown up to cure cancer. I love that argument....too bad, statistically speaking, that kid would have an exponentially greater chance of ending up in jail on a drug bust than becoming a scientist.The cold hard truth is pro-choice does not equal forced abortion. If you are pro-life, good for you. Have your kids, spend time with them, raise them right, but understand that not everyone is like you and holds the same set of beliefs as you and has had the same life experiences as you have. Also, don't pretend you hold every life sacred, cause we all know thats just a big pile of ***** on a stick. If you really cared about all life you would take some interest in the lives of those who were brought to term, but I guess, once they're out, its not your problem anymore!I say, if you want to take away womens right to chose to terminate their pregnancies, you need to take away their right to choose to get pregnant. It only seems fair, does it not? Or, in spirit of cooperation and finding a middle ground, you need to get a permit to have a kid and a permit to abort one.

This seems bad.But you know what, it will do NOTHING to curb piracy one bit. Because it never has. Did all of RIAA ***** stop music sharing. No. Did MPAA lawsuits stop movie pirates. No. Has anything Sweden's government done stopped the Pirate Bay. Hell no.This is just like the war on drugs in America to me. Some agency out there saw the change that was already firmly cemented into society, and made it illegal, turning us all into criminals overnight. And then spends countless dollars fighting it, which in the end has had zero effect.Piracy is a consumer cry to regain control of content that we buy. Thanks to the Internet, we got it back and no longer have to suffer the unending ***** from RIAA and MPAA and similar international agencies, who still seem to think that selling overpriced DVDs and CDs would last until time stopped. It is not our fault you watched the Internet revolution wave goodbye to you, so screw off or find a way to end piracy by giving us something BETTER instead of sueing your customers.

This would violate the 14th Amendment's Due Process clause, IF Internet Service Providers weren't private companies. Since they are, they can deny service to any customer for any reason. Kind of raises interesting questions as to whether or not broadband can be defined as a public utility - and if it isn't, that it maybe should be.I'm a capitalism-loving government-hating American, but the sheer number of methods private ISPs are finding to screw customers is kind of testing my tolerance for *****. When will we get past this phase in our country, and just be able to buy broadband cheaply with no strings attached? When will ISPs realize they can make a fortune just by making broadband faster, cheaper, and more accessible? When???Stop ***** with my Internet, goddammet. Seriously, I'm sick of this *****.
