wait, what? las vegas one of the cleanest? driving into work every morning from out near black mountain i would see a thick, disgusting brown haze over the city. not to mention the clean up of toxic material they had to do when creating the 95/215 interchange after the pepcon disaster filled the ground with perchlorates. and if you look at sat photos you see all sorts of green and blue pools of toxic material all over the place (here for instance, near my old house: http://tr.im/E4IC all those rectangles are old toxic dumps and the area is fenced off with barbed wire and warning signs). but i guess technically that's all henderson. either way, if that's one of the cleanest, i'm disgusted and scared for people living in the US.oh god and the constant chlorine leaks from ker mcgee... loved those green clouds and warnings to stay indoors... yeah not at all toxic

You do realize Chernobyl was a freak accident, correct? There are always accidents, but when it comes to nuclear power these accidents become much more severe. Now with today's technology and understanding of nuclear power, these accidents have a less than 1% chance of even happening.

This is a joke, right? I can't speak for the NJ or NY races, but Deeds (D) is losing in the polls to McDonnell (R) because he's run a terrible campaign and his policy platform differs very little from McDonnell's--not because the GOP is having a resurgence of popularity. As long as the State Democratic Party continues to "not get it" when it comes to picking candidates, then there is little reason to vote for them, and most democrats and independents in VA seem to feel that way as well.
