i felt a similar response to this since I've got a lot of first hand experience with clinical depression. 'Crippling' is much closer to the truth than 'beneficial'.

“A couple reasons:Mostly to demonstrate that these things really aren't as dangerous as they look, and that many people's extreme fears of them is rather irrational.Somewhat because it's kinda exciting (somewhat like riding a roller coaster or bungee jumping or motorcycle riding or hang gliding or base jumping; with a similar degree of dangerousness).

I live in the boonies. DSL is my only option. On windy days, I noticed that my DSL dropped and phone connection crackled. Traced the problem to a loose wire going up the utility pole outside my house. Called Verizon and gave them full details. After their tech was about to leave b/c he couldn't duplicate the problem, I went outside with him, had him connect his butt set and then I shook the wire on the pole which duplicated the problem. I left him to fix it. When I went out 2 hrs later, I saw his fix. He wrapped a good 20 feet of electrical tape around the wire on the pole so it wouldn't shake in the wind. That was 2+ years ago. Tape is still there.?
Wow, they're getting so desperate they're just spamming extremist right-wing news outlets to try to get people to listen them...

I'm selling my 16 gig iPhone (3G, 3.1.2, jailbroken, carrier unlocked) and my Storm (1) to buy a Droid on Friday. ***** ATT. And too little too late for BBOS.
