Well done..
To understand why hydrogen will NEVER break even short of being able to violate the laws of physics, you have to take a look at how many loss incurring steps there are between generating the energy to its consumption when hydrogen is used as an intermediary:http://www.physorg.com/news85074285.htmlPresently, hydrogen is stripped from hydrocarbons, which are far richer in hydrogen than water. Unfortunately, hydrocarbons come from petroleum, and that doesn't leave us any better off when it comes to energy independence and sustainability. Petroleum-sourced hydrogen is more expensive than gasoline, and has had much of its energy--held by the carbon backbones of hydrocarbons--stripped away. Hydrogen generated from water doesn't make sense because generating hydrogen takes electricity, which needs some power source; in the end, it just goes into a fuel cell to be turned back into electricity and water vapor. In other words, water-sourced hydrogen isn't fuel; it's a battery, and a very lousy one. If hydrogen is serving only as a battery, it must be compared to existing batteries, and by any metric of comparison, hydrogen fails to meet cost effectiveness and efficiency requirements.

“Why would anyone pay for, or tolerate that? Why would anyone tolerate that even without bad dubbing? Who LIKES this stuff? I used to dig JRPGs back in the 16-32 bit era, but somehow, bringing that japanese style characters and storytelling into high res and full voice acting just makes the awful parts of it way more pronounced.

Citation: Bobcat's latest fantasy. It's not the 20% of Americans that's crazy, it's the other 6 1/2 billion people in the world that are crazy apparently..
"Yeah", that was sarcasm!

its an issue of personal security. they didnt confiscate a ship, they towed it to port checked it contents and on credible intelligence found an arsenal of weapons. If they had found nothing they would have let the ship go. International waters have their own set of rules:The law of contraband allows belligerents to visit and search merchant vessels of neutral states — outside neutral waters — and seize their cargoes in whole or in part. Contraband goods liable to seizure are goods ‘susceptible to use in armed conflict’ and ‘ultimately destined for [enemy] territory’. Thus, contraband deprives the enemy of war-waging matériel and may be considered a defensive measure. Any vessel carrying exclusively contraband cargo may also itself be forfeit.?

It's kind of like the "Nickleback sucks" comments. People love to rip on MTV.

Cool, I hope this encourages an increase in development for related tech. Don't think we can pull it out without cheap mass production of carbon nanotubes.

Not at all. Most democrats aren't liberal and a few of them are even conservative (in US terms... almost all on both sides are conservative by European standards).http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Dog_Coalition

Also, he's not a ***** Luddite:"there have been problems with the computer voting system since its exception. There haev been probelms in national elections where the votes have been changed. KPFT Pokey Anderson has been doing reports on the problems with computer voting for a while now. I dont think my vote will serve justice using the computer system I wanted to know whatas wrong with having both ways of voting. I ended up being told that I had to bring it up with my state rep. As was told to me the state has made it so that voting by paper ballot is all but eliminated.."It's a perfectly logical and reasonable response. Without a paper readout I wouldn't vote on an computerized voting machine either. |
