So... two guys walked into a Black ***** Bar...
Everybody keeps talking about how Bing is a stupid name for the search engine...but lets not forget there is a reason for Bing. Its meant to make people think of the sound that comes up in movies and cartoons when a character has an idea. We all criticize the name of Bing but Google is a play off the ignorance of people not known how to spell googol, the number. We're used to Google which is why we like it. If Larry Page and Sergey Brin had made everything the same, but named their search engine Bing, we'd be using Bing and criticizing Microsoft for naming their search engine Google. Also, Bing, as this article says, has a lot of great features. So before everybody criticizes it I think they should try it out for a little while.

ft(end of the)a: The current just beneath the surface is traveling at 30 miles per hour, and the channel is 640 feet deep.“It’s an underwater waterfall,” he says, slapping Gardiner’s shoulder. It’s falling at 40 feet per second. Upstream of the waterfall is an eddy, the water relatively still. This point is likely habitat for the blind cichlid: calm pockets where sheering currents have trapped the fish at great depths. Deep-river specimens, like the one found today, surface only when the river surges and flushes individuals into the harsh environment of the main flow. In terms of Stiassny’s hypothesis, the finding suggests that the Congo’s currents partition habitat from side to side and from top to bottom—just like a mountain range. |

Hopefully he doesn't destroy an entire alien species and get labeled a xenocide, emasculated by his fellow man and doomed to travel the galaxy at relative speeds for thousands of years.Hopefully that doesn't happen.

I've often wondered why major network television didn't jump on the bandwagon of bittorrent distribution. Sure, they can pay royalties to Hulu or pay for their own servers and distribution. Or they could simply release their television shows with a small amount of advertising via major torrent sites and reap some benefit from that method of distribution. Imagine going to the major network website directly to grab your TV show. |
